Publisher and independent status

The site is published by Sevenfold Puzzle Studio, the public project name used by an individual developer. This website is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The New York Times Company. Source attribution and an independent-service notice are not statements that the source owner has authorized this site.

Use of the site

You may use the game and editorial tools for personal, non-commercial purposes. Do not disrupt the site or API, bypass access controls, automate abusive traffic, extract data in a way that burdens the service, or present this site as an official New York Times product.

Availability and accuracy

Puzzles, accepted words, ranks, calculated statistics, archive dates, and editorial explanations may be corrected or changed. The service is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted access, completeness, or compatibility with another edition. Difficulty scores are independent structural estimates, not official ratings.

Intellectual-property notices

If you own or represent rights in material available on this site and believe it should be corrected, attributed differently, or removed, email contact@nytspellingbee.me with your name and authority, the exact URL, a description of the material and claimed right, the requested action, and a reliable way to contact you.

The publisher will review sufficiently detailed notices and may restrict or remove material while a claim is assessed. This notice-and-review process does not itself establish permission to use any third-party material.

Privacy

Use of the site is also governed by the Privacy Policy, including information about local storage, Analytics, consent, and future advertising technologies.

Contact and corrections

Use the contact page for puzzle corrections, privacy requests, intellectual-property notices, and general feedback. Non-sensitive technical defects may also be reported through the linked GitHub issue tracker.
